*TRAILBLAZERS DRESSAGE/MOORHOUSE SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS - 18 MAY* Our next dressage competition takes place on Sunday 18 May, schedule online now! Get a score of 58% and above and qualify for our Summer Championships to be held in September - also scores of 58% and above qualify for 2009 Second Rounds!

*SAFELY HOME* Great news that the Springers are home - they were a bit smelly, dirty and thirsty but very happy to be back. Thank you to everyone who has helped out in getting the dogs back. It is very much appreciated.

*TRAILBLAZERS SHOWING SECOND ROUNDS*Apologies for the delay in the results and report being posted - check back for updates! Congratulations to everyone who has qualified for this year's Finals at Stoneleigh. We didn't have masses of entries - but the entries were of an extremely high standard. Thank you to our Judges and their Stewards - their help and advice has been invaluable in this new venture for us.

Our website was three years old on 4 November 2007. Since its launch in 2004 we have had more than 120,000 hits. We are now averaging more than 8,500 hits per month. Thank you for your support. Please bookmark our website or add to your favourites.

ARENA HIRE

Both indoor arenas are available to hire 7 days a week. Hourly or daily rates are available, with or without a full course of jumps or dressage arenas. Our venue is also available to hire for shows or other similar events.

Our main indoor arena is 220 ft by 70 ft and has a galleried seating area, seating approximately 140 people. We also have a Judge's box overlooking both arenas with access to the pa system.

Enquiries welcomed from organisations wishing to hold indoor events - we can offer additional services including First Aid, Parking Attendant, Cafe etc.

ABOUT US:

Moorhouse Equestrian Centre & Saddlery is owned and operated by the Hobson family who have lived at Gap Farm for the last twenty years. MEC is run principally by Susan Hobson who is well known in the equestrian community having competed in affiliated show jumping. She is very ably supported by her parents, Wilf and Val Hobson, both of whom are also well known and well respected in this field.

MEC offers a wide range of facilities including a large indoor arena (measuring 220 feet by 70 feet), and a large indoor collecting area. A large gallery seating approximately 150 people overlooks the main arena. Regular shows are held and details can be found on our Forthcoming Events and Schedules pages. Cafe facilities and a thriving saddlery shop are also on the premises. There is also a feed store on site which supplies all major brands of horse feed at competitive prices.

The Centre also offers competition training and liveries.
