On Thursday March 25th Moorhouse Equestrian Centre, Gap Farm, Moorhouse Ln, Doncaster will be the host venue for this special training event. Stephen Clarke International dressage judge, trainer, rider, FBHS and British Dressage Judge’s director will be conducting individual lessons for a variety of riders from Prelim through to PSG. This is an opportunity that the Northern Region is delighted to bring you, as Stephen’s hectic International diary limits the amount of teaching he can do in the area.
Riders will each be given a 40 minute lesson. Stephen will work on the rider and the horse’s way of going, also looking at test riding techniques where appropriate. Some riders will ride a pre-selected test either as a personal choice or as practice and towards selection for Northern team representation. The team event that this would primarily ‘count’ as a selection day for, is the Senior Inter Regional Competition in Keysoe, Beds in May 2010. The Northern region usually sends 5 teams of riders P-M levels to this competition. Teams are sponsored this year by Freedom Dressage. Details of the SIR competition and selection policy can be found on the British Dressage web site/Northern region.
This training day is open to BD members/Non members/trainers/judges/trainee judges. Anyone attending will have the opportunity to watch a variety of lesson and take notes. A short Q&A session will follow each lesson.
For details of the event go to BDNorthernRegion or email Sarah Huntridgeor telephone 07970 902708.
We look forward to seeing you there!
